ICA Alumni visited Hamro Sunaulo Sansar, an orphanage home
On 3rd April 2021, a team of five core members of ICA Alumni visited Hamro Sunaulo Sansar, an orphanage home founded by Ms. Menuka Koirala. The place was established by Ms. Koirala post the 2015 devastating earthquake which took many lives and caused irreparable damage to houses and lives, due to which many children were homeless and became orphans. Villages from Sindhupalchowk district were hit the most due to the natural disaster. That is the reason why the founder focused mostly on that part. The home is now providing shelter and basic needs to 18 children.
The Alumni Club of International Centre for Academics (ICA) visited Hamro Sunaulo Sansar on 3rd April 2021 to extend support by providing food materials for day to day needs. The Alumni were welcomed with a special dance performance by the residents.
Ms. Koirala was very thankful towards the ICA Alumni committee. She expressed that such type of support motivates social workers like her and aids in the functioning of the shelter home. A letter of appreciation was also provided to the team.
