1st Graduation Ceremony of ICA August 18, 2012, Kathmandu,Nepal

International Center for academics (ICA) , the pioneer partner institution of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, India organized 1st Graduation ceremony on August 18, 2012 at Hotel Yak n Yeti. The event was graced by H.E Rt. Honorable Vice President of Nepal Shri Pramanand Jha as a chief Guest. In the ceremony, all the learners who have graduated from ICA till date were awarded certificate by chief Guest and distinguished guest. In the event, H.E Rt Honorable Vice President of Nepal Shri Pramanand Jha appreciated ICA for service it has been providing to the education seeker through open and distance learning mode. He also emphasized on the need of Open University in Nepal to cater the needs of higher education. H.E Rt Honorable Vice President of Nepal Shri Pramanand Jha awarded certificate of appreciation to the 05 out of 08 gold medalist of IGNOU from ICA present at the event. Honorable Charge d Affaires , Embassy of India Shri. Jaideep Majumdar awarded certificates to Master degree holder, Honorable Vice Chanchellor of Pokhara University , Prof. Khagendra Prasad Bhattarai awarded certificates to Post Graduate Diploma level and Honorable Rector , Tribhuvan University, Prof. Guna Nidhi Nyaupane awarded certificates to Bachelor Degree Holder. Chairperson of ICA , Mr. Biswajit Mukherjee awarded certificates to Diploma and Certificate degree holder. During the event, twenty three Academic Counselors were felicitated for their distinguished service towards ICA and Open and Distance Learning in Nepal by Honourable Vice Chancellor of Lumbini Buddhist University , Prof. Dr. Triratna Manandhar .Chief Guest also Launched the inaugural issue of annual magazine of ICA The Eklavyan during the event. The articles in the magazine focuses on modern Education trends, scope of open and Distance learning, the paradigm shift in management, personal experiences related to work and life, words of wisdom, etc. The event was also graced by distinguished guests from Embassy of India, Ministry of Education, University Grants Commission of Nepal , Corporate houses ,INGOS, and representative of different print and electronic media of Nepal.
