The 36th Induction Meeting was organized by the International Center for Academics (ICA) on 2nd September, 2023. The event was conducted to orient the freshly enrolled learners of the July 2023 session on their roles and responsibilities as an Open and Distance learner of IGNOU. 

The event witnessed a good number of participation and the learners were very active throughout. Ms. Ranusheela Pokharel, the Associate Director of Admissions, Sales and Marketing and Communications, opened the session with a welcome speech. After that, Ms. Padma K.C, the Associate Director of Academics presented very informative slides on the academic activities, evaluation systems and operation calendar followed by ICA. Similarly, Ms. Kusum Luitel, Librarian at ICA explained about the various learning platforms and e-resources available for ICA learners. 

After the formal academic orientation session, Ms. Para Limbu, President and Mr. Madan Kumar Paneru, VP of ICA Toastmasters Club extended their best wishes to the learners and also encouraged the learners to join the TM club to improve their communication and leadership skills and excel on their career goals. Similarly, the Chartered President of ICA Alumni Mr. Rajesh Man Singh shared his experiences of being proud alumni of ICA and cheered the learners to successfully complete the program. 

During the open Q&A round, the learners asked questions and some also shared how they look forward to start their academic journey after few years gap. Some learners gave testimonies to express their excitement on beginning their journey as an Open and Distance learner. The learners also utilized this opportunity to know their fellow classmates better.
