ICA conducted Webinar on the future of Open and Distance Learning in Nepal
With the aim of helping the students to better understand how open and distance learning works, International Center for Academics (ICA) organized a webinar on ‘The Scope of Open and Distance Learning-MBA Degree with ICA’ dated 9th August, 2020.
The key speaker for the webinar session was Prof B.B.Khanna, Director- International Division, IGNOU. Mr. Khanna highlighted the success history of the university as a pioneer of Open and Distance learning in India. Add to that he also mentioned the importance and scope of MBA degree and its relevancy in present scenario. The webinar witnessed a great participation which was registered through Facebook and Google forms. The total registered participants were 212, out of which 60 plus participants actually logged in for the session. Apart from this, the event went live from the official page of ICA too which received a great response with total views of 444 with reach of 1280 people.
Mr. Biswajit Mukherjee- MD, ICA, explained about the recognition and validity of the courses offered. He assured students that the degree received from ICA is recognized and validated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Tribhuwan University (TU) which will help the learners excel in their careers and further studies anywhere around the globe.
The moderator of the webinar was Mr. Amit Giri- CEO, ICA. He emphasized on the flexible nature of the MBA course where students can learn from their own place, pace and time to sharpen their academics alongside their professional career. To make the webinar session interactive, alumni’s from different session also shared their experiences on learning with ICA. Mr. Amit Sharma, MBA batch of July 2007 shared how the program helped him to excel in his career. Mr. Sushil Bista, MBA batch of Jan 2004 and Mr. Prakash Bhandari, MBA, batch of July 2009 also highlighted the effectiveness of the course which is designed specifically for the professional learners wanting to rise in their academics as well.
